This small toy, given the child's age, gives a lot of opportunities for the development of logical thinking and polysensory abilities.
The child learns to recognize 4 basic geometric shapes - rectangle, triangle, circle and square. Learn four basic colours - red, blue, yellow and green. Develops an understanding of parts and amounts - two, three, four (e.g. one-third, two-thirds, three-fourths etc.) There is also one whole figure.
At the beginning, the toddler’s task is to remove all of the parts from the foundation, sort them by colour and put them back, forming whole geometric shapes. When the child has mastered this task, offer to assemble pictures with the pieces. The next level of difficulty is to assemble pictures outside the wooden foundation.
Also, you can use the given pieces to develop early counting skills, (1 green cube, 2 red triangles, 3 yellow pieces, 4 blue cubes). Fun fact - by counting all the pieces together, we get the number-10!
This game will be especially useful if parents work together with the little one. As this toy is handmade, all figures fit perfectly and are easy to hold in hand. Don't worry, the paint we use is ecological, water-based and completely safe for toddlers.
