This adorable wooden puzzle is painted entirely by hand. This set contains the following animals: a cow, a dog, a hen, a chick, a rooster and a rabbit. It serves as an educational tool for children from 1 and a half to 2 years of age. It trains a “tweezer” type grip which then allows the child to properly remove and put back the appropriate shape of an animal back into its correct place inside the wooden base by using the wooden knobs. This game develops fine finger muscles, coordination of movements, logical thinking and patience as well. As these pictures are painted by an artist, it also develops the child's aesthetic sense. For the purpose of learning colours, we have painted the inside of the base, under each animal figure, in 6 seperate colours (red, green, blue, yellow, orange and purple). Also, with the help of a parent or a teacher, the little one can learn the names of animals and what sounds they make. For example: “It is a Cow! What sound does a Cow make? Let’s both say “moo” and put the Cow back. What is Cow’s favorite colour? Where is her home?” etc. And, later on, the figures can be used as templates - trace each animal on paper with a pencil after which the drawn silhouette can be coloured - it is such a great way of training fingers and patience!
